GRACE DAVIDSON

BMT, MTA, MT - BC

Ottawa's own Grace Davidson is a board certified music therapist. Grace's love of singing began at a very young age. At 8 years old she began singing in choirs, and soon found her love for collaborative music making. In secondary school, Grace picked up the guitar and began writing her own songs. It was around this time that she discovered music therapy - the thing she was born to do.

Her journey to become a music therapist began in Wolfville, Nova Scotia at Acadia University. There she received her Bachelor of Music Therapy degree, taking part in the S.M.I.L.E program's Friday night music room as well as gaining experience through practicum placements. After graduation in 2020, Grace completed her 1000-hour music therapy internship in Ottawa, and successfully took the Certification Board for Music Therapist's exam administered in the USA. She is now a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) and is recognized in Canada as a certified music therapist (MTA).
